好久不見
Long time no see....
I am truly sad that I didn't get to stay more on top of my "doings" in Taiwan as I did in Italy, but YO i have a job here so it is a bit more packed and hard for me to get a hold of all this blogging and remembering what happened during the day.
There are A LOT of new things here, obviously, since I am in another place, another country. But, however foreign it is, it feels like home and thus blogging feels weird because who blogs about their everyday life at home. No, it is nothing like a normal day at home though, but there sure is a routine for half a day and it makes me feel like I am at school or something.
But to catch you up with my life I will list the only things i remembered happened between my last post and this one now...which is probably a 3 week gap:
1. Made friends with Taiwanese Interns at YANGMINGSHAN
2. Rode and ride their motorbike to work and back sometimes :)
3. HIKED the tallest mountain in YANGMINGSHAN, as well as many others here
4. YE SHI ...yummy food
5. movie!!
6. visited NIE MA AND NAI NAI!!! realize how much i love them
7. using MRT and bus ....ALL THE TIME
8. Travel with sister and her german boyfriend and feeling awkward... but more happy that i get to hang out with her
9. finding out more about national parks...uh especially the one in Taipei...one called...YANGMINGSHAN
10. Got called out by too many bus men to remember, and finally got yelled out while walking the wrong direction from one goodhearted bus man's instruction, "OTHER WAY" he shouted out through his STREET LOUD speakers from the bus...I ran the other direction in shame that i couldn't even test with my "Shame experiment"
11. Dan sui with ANDY!
12. what i just did: FU LONG...bien dans, strangers--> friends, lost phone, bored to beer-ed, to helping guys pick up girls by just standing there...concert...squid...surprisinglygood time...
13. oh did i forget to say typhoon? ...well then...TYPHOON
14. 7/11 little prince stickers ...damn it. still need 1 more!!
See there are a list of things here and my head is bursting at the seams (if there are seams on my head) in order to contain all the things i could say about each numbered activity. Honestly all you have to know that Taiwan is a different place. I strive to make it my second home, as it should be...not only for convince sake, but for the sake of giving myself some way of not beings so damn lost in this world.
One way is to have faith in the next world or the life you'll have after this one...and one way is to find a place in this world, and the life you have here and now.
"one way...one way to what?!" HAH. well how am I supposed to know, I just typed and that's what came out...and I'm not going to correct it, because it's not like im wrong...one way...of life..one way one direction one something it doesn't even matter, but it is what it is...having a place is a way to something to nothing and to everything...and it sounds like it cant be possible but it makes more sense to me than any other thing I have ever heard myself say to myself before.

making PAPERS
Seriously... is this the second day only? IT might be the third. Time is like nothing here. It takes about an hour to get anywhere even though Taiwan is like only a fraction of Cali, and even smaller than LA!!! woah... wait, maybe I should confirm that online.
I came to a lot of these places when I was touring with AID Program, but like I expected, things are different. We went to the paper factory where we made fans last time and this time I was about 100 times more appreciative and enthusiastic about paper making. It is amazing that the Chinese invented this contraption and indispensable creation!
I am going to create a paper factory in the US and we are going to revive the appreciation for hand made paper and the amazing feeling you get when you can create and know the process of creating something from beginning to end. Ingenuity is hard to find today and thats what I want to bring back in what I do.
is that NOT CRAZY?! Well to me it is.
After traveling to so many cities of Italy alone it baffles me as to how I will do it in Taiwan. I definitely am going to give it a try after my internship is done. The transportation is a bit confusing from what I remember, but it is all about learning how to get around!!! Plus, I knew no Italian in Italy and here at least I know a frugal amount of Chinese, but I know some, none the less

Just plane exciting!
Father, here, is examining sim cards that I will need to exchange in my phone so I can call peeps in Taiwan.
We're in Carl's Junior with 2 hours before I need to get on the plane. Perfect prep place. Used that restroom and downed a coffee here.
LETTUCE finally begin the summer adventure!!! Well, LETME I guess... since I'm not really going with anyone...
Here is my dinner that I snuck into Carl's Juniors eatery. I ate ALL of it...just like this...plastic included. Yum. It was left over from me and dorothy's training apartment party food.
The last week was exhausting at UCLA. I was done with spring quarter but jumped right into Apartment Coordinator Training the week after. No break. Actually I quite enjoyed it other than the moments when it felt like I was kind of in that life sucking contraption that the "man in the black" from Princess bride was put in. We woke up to train at 8ish and then came back around 7pm...if you round it all up, we were kind of going through 12 hour sessions.
amazing.
I really did quite enjoy it though overall...somehow.
I am excited to be an apartment coordinator!!! woohoooo!!!
OK but anyway I went off topic of course... and it would totally happen within the first paragraph of my post -__-. look that was supposed to be a period after the face but it actually looks like that signiture mole of Marilyn Monroe's. Nice.
Damn. off topic again.
Ok ...and we're back! This lettuce is brining us into the conversation of my new adventure. Salad is something you eat to cleanse your body after you eat a meal. All that heavy food, pasta, steak, whatever it is.
So some really good food that I got at the airport...only 4 bucks for all of this...
Also I changed my seat from one of the middle seats to the isle seats and I got a seat right in the back isle and next to the bathroom. Boombaby! I talked to the lady next to me and she was from nashville. Not only that but she was the graduate engineer program's admissions person...from VANDERBILT. She told me take a visit and we became acquaintances/friends...I really want to live in Nashville now...music central. LIVE music central.
